Happy New Year from the only NA3HL team to defeat the reigning Fraser Cup Champion Louisiana Drillers, your New Hampshire Mountain Kings! This past weekend, the Mountain Kings were back in action, in a two game duel against a top competitor for first place, the Long Beach Sharks. I’m Alex Posani, and I’m here to give you the low down on this past weekend.
On Friday, Talon Schackman and Gabe Williams both netted two goals apiece, and Jake Sorenson posted 20 saves on 22 shots, as the Mountain Kings beat Long Beach 5-2
On Saturday, the Mountain Kings suffered a heartbreaking loss, coming within one goal of Long Beach, but were unable to tie it in the dying moments of the game. Long Beach escaped with a 5-4 win in a very back and forth game. Nick Brophy had two goals, Sedrick Swygert Jr. and Brady Plante also scored.
The Mountain Kings are back in action this Wednesday, for an atypical 11am game against the Maine Nordiques. Take an early lunch and join us at Delta Dental Arena!
